Headliner is pushing podcast automation forward with its new YouTube Video Clips Automation, turning any YouTube Podcast Playlist into nonstop, styled, captioned, auto‑published clips — freeing creators from the busywork and keeping shows growing on their own.

At Podcast Week’s kickoff, Ira Glass reminded the Sounds Profitable crowd of “what podcasts do better,” arguing that deeper storytelling creates deeper listener connections — and stronger ad performance.

And TYT is making a major business move, naming Airwave its exclusive ad‑sales partner across key podcast, video, and live inventory, including GAM360 on YouTube. With Airwave scaling its sales team and TYT entering a new commercial chapter, both companies say the partnership is built for ambitious growth.

A fast hit of the tools, the craft, and the deals shaping podcasting right now.

It's Wednesday, September 16th, and you know what day it is. I have the fastest four minutes in podcasting. I'm Gary Spurgeon, podcasting from Jacksonville, Florida. Headliner used by more than 1.5 million creators have just launched a YouTube video clips automation. I'll have more on this in just a few minutes. I'm here with fast facts, fresh trends, and the metrics that actually matter with just enough fun to keep it moving.
Let's jump into these numbers.

And here's the first story. Headliner used by more than 1.5 million creators has just launched a YouTube video clips automation, a fully hands-off way to turn YouTube podcast playlists into nonstop social and short ready clips. Point Headliner to a playlist and it automatically repurses your back catalog in every new episode, complete with captions, styling, and publishing. The feature builds on Headliner's manual clipping tools and expands its support for video podcasters. CEO Neil Modi says it follows the same philosophy as automated audiograms. Automation is what keeps the show growing long term. The new system is free to use at make.headliner.app. The goal is simple, remove the busy work. With most podcasters already uploading video to YouTube, Headliner handles the rest, finding moments, editing clips, and posting them everywhere your show lives. The result is a podcast that promotes itself so creators can stay focused on making the next episode.

At the opening session of Sound's Profitable Business Summit, Ira Glass of This American Life delivered an ear-grabbing reminder of what podcasts do better. Podcasts, he said, go far deeper than most influencer content, creating strong connections, which in turn makes ads work harder. The summit kicked off Pod Week in New York City, bringing buyers and networkers together in one room for a packed session, sharp insights, and plenty of high-value networking.

And here's our last story. TYT has tapped Airways as an exclusive ad sales partner, handling over a curated slice of premium podcast, video, and live inventory, including its high-value GAM360 YouTube inventory.
The deal pairs TYT's massive, highly-engaged news audience with Airways' expanding sales engine, now led by podcast ad veteran Charles Dannison. Airways' Ben Mathis calls TYT a media juggernaut, with TYT's new chief business officer, Praveen Singh, says the partnership is the first step in a more ambitious commercial strategy. They also add that TYT is bringing its trademark independent, entrepreneurial mindset into the next stage of growth, and Airways is the kind of partner to build for the future.

And that'll do it for today. If you enjoyed today's show, hit follow on Apple Podcasts so you don't miss a minute of tomorrow's episode. You can also find us on Spotify, Podchasers, and pretty much everywhere you listen. And a new company called Podeo launched today with a simple promise, turn podcasts into video people actually watch. I'll have more on this tomorrow. Like today's takeaway? Drop a quick review.
It fuels the show and keeps fresh episodes coming your way. I'm Gary Spurgeon with the fastest four minutes in podcasting, podcasting by the numbers. And remember, you're only one podcast away from changing your world.
